Nocturnal Designz Inc., seemingly appearing overnight in 2003, is built on a foundation of blacksmiths dating back to the 1800s. Chris Pook, our artistic metalwork designer, has come from a family of blacksmiths and metalworkers. Although we believe that talent comes from the head and the heart, we also believe that soul has a part to play in the making of our company.

Chris Pook, after playing around in his father's metalwork shop since the age of 10, realized that this play had become a passion by the age of 16. After a number of years doing custom metalwork, he decided to perfect his trade by going to school in Vernon, BC and learning under a European Master Blacksmith: Joe Delisimunovic. Chris Pook then stepped out and embraced his family's history of blacksmithing to establish Nocturnal Designz in 2002. Chris has now expanded his dreams into Nocturnal Designz Inc. to continue the tradition of quality blacksmithing and artistic metalwork. Chris is also a member of the North West Blacksmith Association.

Maggi Woo joins the company with a university degree and accounting knowledge in her pocket. She has decided to leave the world of pushing paper in a downtown office setting to create our office structure. Taking this creative new world in stride, M. Woo is also part of our company’s concrete division.
